Cricket Tournament – 2017
Sometimes studying can become too much. Particularly when
exam time approaches, students frequently experience boredom or even pressure.
As a method of avoiding such situations, we were able to motivate our pupils to
engage in their regular classes and provide the best efforts in their academics
by fostering rivalry and competition, both within the classroom between clans
and within them as well as outside of their designated study areas.
ATARI City Campus organizes annual events such as Carrom tournaments, singing and dancing competitions, cricket championships, etc., to
keep the students amused and have a pleasant time during the period of which
they are enrolled on the campus. Additionally, enjoyable contests and
activities, such as yearly celebrations and in-class gatherings, will guarantee
that our students’ time at the ATARI city campus is entirely spent with
positive memories.
The ATARI City Campus hosted the 2017 ATARI Championship of
Inter Clan Cricket Tournament on March 2017. The organizing committee of the
tournament was able to secure an “A” Grade referee to judge the
championship. The eight teams appointed by the clans Athena, Aphrodite, Rhea,
and Trivia participated in the cricket tournament. Each clan was to submit two groups,
for both girls and boys, for the game. The tournament day and the days leading
to that, starting from the selections, were the ones where our students were in
the highest of their spirits.
The cricket tournament was held at Prison Ground, Borella,
and it was a day well enjoyed by students, past pupils, parents, and guests
alike. After the cricket tournament was over, a DJ party was organized by the
committee at the ground for students to celebrate their victories and end the
day on a high note. The day was successfully concluded with zero accidents and
drawbacks.
The boys’ cricket championship trophy was taken home by the
Athena clan’s team, with the Aphrodite boys’ team closely chasing them behind
for the runners-up trophy. The Rhea girls’ team showed exceptional skills in
defeating all three of the other girls’ teams and became the undefeated girls’
cricket champions in the ATARI Championship of Inter Clan Cricket Tournament
2017.
